2021 Voice of the Field Service Engineer

The Service Council’s fourth consecutive Voice of the Field Service Engineer (VoFSE) survey provides insight into the current and desired capabilities of the FSE respondents and gives specific recommendations on how to align technology transformation initiatives to support and empower technicians in the ways they need it most.

The majority of the challenges described by survey respondents in this annual report can be mitigated with visual assistance technology by reducing administrative tasks, ensuring the right tools and parts are provided for each visit, and providing opportunities to collaborate with senior technicians on complex tasks.
