SightCall is honored to have been selected by NTT DATA Corporation as champion of the 2018 Open Innovation Pitch Contest 7.0 held in San Francisco. Competing against 9 companies, each chosen for their unique technological innovations, SightCall took home top honors and will advance to NTT DATA’s international competition to be held in Tokyo this Spring. SightCall CEO Thomas Cottereau Accepts Innovation AwardThe Open Innovation Pitch Contest was developed by NTT DATA to seek ground-breaking technologies that relate to the challenges of NTT Group's companies around the world. With proven success in transforming major US and European insurance companies, SightCall delivered a compelling and solid presentation, already poised to collaborate with NTT DATA on a global scale. “SightCall has already changed the way the insurance claims process works in the United States and Europe,” stated Thomas Cottereau, CEO of SightCall. “We recently opened an office in Singapore, so collaborating with NTT DATA is a natural expansion for us. SightCall has a clear strategy and success among major insurance carriers including Allianz and AXA, and we believe NTT DATA will be a great partner to work alongside us in the Asian market.” NTT DATA is a subsidiary of Japan’s NTT, ranked 65 in the Fortune Global 500. According to numbers released by NTT Data, they plan to achieve cumulative revenue in excess of 10 billion yen (about 100 million USD) by 2020 from the Open Innovation and Business Incubation Business Strategy Department, including venture businesses launched as a result of Open Innovation Business Contests. The winning pitch, delivered by SightCall’s CEO Thomas Cottereau, focused on how the augmented reality, virtual assistance platform provides a necessary, disruptive customer service solution that consumers and insurance providers have been waiting for. “When you guide a customer through the claims process over live video, there is a significant cost savings to the insurance provider,” explained Cottereau. “Our clients’ adjusters are increasing their daily claims adjustments from 3 to 12. Additionally, customers are satisfied with faster claims resolution, and our clients benefit from substantially increased Net Promoter Scores as a result.” Regional contests are being held at 15 global locations – San Francisco, Tokyo, Melbourne, Toronto, Santiago, Sao Paulo, London, Madrid, Barcelona, Lisbon, Milan, Tel Aviv, Mumbai, Singapore and Guiyang. The winners are invited to the Grand Finale in Tokyo in March 2018. The Grand Finale winner will receive a three-month, in-kind contribution to support the development of the proposed new business. The SightCall team will be onsite in Tokyo, presenting how we plan to transform Asian insurance with AR powered video assistance!
