It is a busy week for the Weemo team! Two of our partners just had their annual conference.
I already covered our presence at The Big Social put together by Telligent and Zimbra. Weemo’s real-time video capabilities were also being showcased by the
Oracle Social Network team at the Oracle OpenWorld conference. For those who do not know, Oracle Social Network is the Enterprise Social Network (ESN) that serves as a foundation for collaboration between business users across a wide range of Oracle’s business applications (CRM, HCM, ERP etc.).
Even though the majority of business users still perceive video conferencing as a stand-alone application, with Weemo this is about to change. Relying on our Real-Time Cloud Video Platform, Oracle Social Network users can experience real-time video. Here is how:
- Ubiquitous click-to-video: Oracle has embedded a “Join Conference” button wherever users could start a video chat within the context of their discussion. For instance, users can escalate from instant messaging to video chat or launch a video conference with all the people following the activity stream.
- Open to the World: With Weemo, video conferencing does not only take place within the organization but extend collaboration to any external guests. Simply mail chat or tweet to invite fellow to join the group from any connected device through a browser connection!
