SightCall, a global leader of augmented reality (AR)-powered visual assistance, today announced the appointment of Tony Nigro as its Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). In this new role, Nigro will oversee all lines of revenue and play a critical role in driving the company’s next phase of growth.

“As SightCall expands, we remain focused on strategic and sustained growth, with a responsibility to our employees and shareholders, as well as to our customers," said Thomas Cottereau, Founder and CEO of SightCall. “Tony’s experience driving new customer adoption, combined with transformative sales leadership at top SaaS organizations, makes him a valued addition as we broaden our visual assistance solutions to reach the people and places that need us most.”

SightCall is a cloud-based video platform for enterprises that enables secure visual support sessions between two parties in different locations. Founded and based in San Francisco since 2008, it maintains a global presence through sales offices in eight markets and four continents. The company provides AR- and AI-powered remote assistance to companies large and small in such industries as manufacturing, healthcare, biotech, telecommunications and insurance. SightCall offers more than a dozen customer relationship manager (CRM) integrations, as well as tailored integrations and custom-branded apps.

Nigro has more than 20 years’ experience in software as a service (SaaS), having held various management positions in revenue-centered roles. Prior to taking on a role at SightCall, he served as Vice President of Sales for the Eastern Region at SignalFx, a San Mateo-based monitoring and analytics platform purchased by Splunk in 2019 for just over $1 billion. He held similar roles at GoodData, Apptio, and Opsware, the latter at which he directed software sales communication, media and entertainment prior to the company’s $1.7 billion acquisition by HP in 2007.

In common with each of his positions, Nigro entered small- to mid-sized companies before an initial public offering (IPO) or acquisition, and transformed novice sales units into more robust numbers and infrastructure. He joins SightCall at a pivotal juncture in its history, as it applies new technology innovations to help companies standardize data collection, increase first-time fixes, and boost returns on investment.

“I’m eager to help power more efficient problem-solving and process improvements for enterprises all over the world,” said Nigro. “As SightCall further innovates and grows, I look forward to helping our global team realize competitive sales and profit targets everywhere we operate, enabling us to further our reach and service offerings, as we continue to set the standard for remote visual assistance.”
